Leah and Rahul met in graduate school at a party. Although, Rahul had noticed Leah a LOT sooner. Apparently, they rode the same bus to campus every day, but Leah always was in her own world with her earbuds in. Rahul finally had his chance to introduce himself to Leah and the rest is as they say… history.

Their relationship hasn’t always been the smoothest sailing. This couple actually has endured (and still does endure) long distance most of their relationship. Rahul lives in Orange County and Leah is still finishing school in Ohio! At first Leah was concerned, until Rahul made sure to travel to see her every single weekend. Leah says he always makes sure she feels loved from wherever he is. Awww…

Not only is this couple adorable and their meet-cute story perfect, their proposal story is so sweet and unique. Getting engaged from long distance is tricky, so they ordered rings online and Leah would try them on with her eyes closed so she didn’t see it on her finger until it was official! Leah says, even though she wasn’t completely surprised when Rahul got down on one knee on a hike with a view of Big Bear Lake, it was still an extremely special memory for them. We love hearing that not all proposals have to be surprises to be meaningful!

We adore when couples do things in the way that works for them! Whether that’s their own way of proposing, choosing to do wedding traditions or picking details that represent them, or skipping ones that don’t the most important part is making decisions and doing it together as a team.
