Chevy Chase Country Club Wedding | Ellie + Conner
We asked Ellie and Conner: When did you know this was the person you’d marry?
Conner told us the moment he saw Ellie, he had a feeling. Awwww. Ellie said, she thinks it was the moment, a month into their relationship, Conner told her that he was going to marry her. She thought, “Oh no... I think he's right...” And right he was!
Ellie and Conner a perfect example of when there’s a will, there’s a way.
These two were supposed to get married back in August in an elegant Pasadena church ceremony with a Castle Green reception to follow, but when 2020 changed their plans, they went with the flow and didn’t let it deter their plans. Instead, they took 2020 back by lowering their guest count and moving their wedding to this hidden Glendale gem, the Chevy Chase Country Club.
Perhaps we’re behind the times, but we had no idea this stunning country club existed hidden in the Glendale hills. It is truly a perfect place for a wedding! In house (and delicious) catering, a lovely staff and space for both the bride and groom to get ready, it’s definitely our kind of venue!
On top of all of the ease and comfort it offers, it’s truly stunning. We felt like it could also double as an Italy wedding venue gave with the country club’s tall perfectly trimmed pines and view of the mountains.
This wedding day could not have been more perfect for these college sweethearts. Ellie looked simply breathtaking in her Matthew Christopher gown and Conner didn’t look too shabby in his Black Tux suit, if we do say so ourselves. The flowers by Iris and Barry Blooms were pure beauty.
Ellie and Conner even embraced the times and got fun matching masks for themselves and their wedding party!
Come to that, we actually were quite impressed with the amount of mask-wearing that happened at this small wedding. We know that sounds crazy because mask wearing should happen always but you would probably be surprised how little of it we’ve seen at weddings recently. We suppose since Conner is studying to be a doctor, it makes sense that they are so thoughtful.
In a way, we’re almost glad their wedding plans changed because we couldn’t have pictured a more perfect, elegant or timeless wedding day for these two! Personally, there’s not one moment we would have changed or wished differently. Even their send off was delightfully fun!
Congrats Ellie and Conner! We know you two are going to have the most wonderful life together!
