Miranda and Max’s Pacific Palisades Wedding
A lot has changed since Miranda and Max’s Pacific Palisades engagement session in this exact spot last June. A LOT!
We all know the world stuff that’s going on, and as you can imagine, they are yet another couple affected by the changes Covid has brought to all our lives. Seeing as that isn’t all that positive, here are some amazing things happening for Miranda and Max this year.
These two were enduring a long distance relationship but now they are living together full time! They may not have been able to have their dream Quail Ranch wedding in 2020, and this Pacific Palisades wedding venue may not be the exact definition of a “venue”, it was truly a special place for Miranda and Max to calmly and effortlessly say “I do” to forever together. Not only that, it was 115 degrees in Simi Valley (their original wedding location) and just under 90 degrees with a refreshing sea breeze. And most importantly, they got to enjoy this truly incredible moment surrounded by those they hold most dear, their immediate families.
After a quiet and personal, private ceremony and a champagne toast with their families, we wandered to the bluffs overlooking the Santa Monica beaches for some wedding portraits. We were gifted one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen in quite some time. Then we walked just 2 blocks back to Miranda’s parents backyard for their first dance, cake cutting and al fresco dinner.
These two college sweethearts are just as lovely to spend time with as they are to look at in their photos. Seriously! They are two of the most kind, giving, intentional people we’ve had the privilege of calling Vondys Family. We are honored they invited us into this intimate circle to document these special moments for them.
Want to know something interesting happening in wedding photography in 2020?
BC (Before Covid) we would typically have 6-12 months relationships with our #vondyscouples, but now with pushing 18 (and counting) weddings to 2021, we are now having to maintain relationships with our couples for 2+ years! Luckily, couples as wonderful as Miranda and Max, it’s SOMETHING to get to spend all of this extra time with not only them, but their families too! It was quite refreshing to be saying, “Goodbye, until next year!” instead of a final goodbye as, unless another family member is getting married, we often don’t get the opportunity to see our couples’ families again. We are quite excited to see how these petite weddings will transform our photos for their big celebrations in 2021!
We are very much looking forward to their big celebration next summer at the one and only Quail Ranch in Simi Valley!
