As you may remember from Shannon and Roger’s engagement session, these two are not only beautiful people to the eye, they are also saving the world one life at a time as nurses! In one meet cute story, they met at work. Roger saw Shannon and said, “who’s that??” and was floored to find out she loves craft beer especially IPAs.

After a romantic proposal in Central Park in front of Bow Bridge, these two chose the stunning Asistencia in Redlands for their boho-inspired wedding. Although they had originally intended to get married in the chapel on the property, they actually picked an ideal wedding venue for Covid regulations. Asistencia has loads of outdoor space, (apparently it can fit 400 guests!) making it the ideal spot for a socially distanced wedding. They also did temperature checks upon entry.

Shannon and Roger had to incorporate their two adorable pups, Lovie and Waylon into their day! They were absolutely perfect for photo time too. I think we’ve photographed more dogs this year than in our entire career, but we aren’t complaining! Dogs have certainly gotten us through quarantine times.

Think a DIY wedding can’t look high end? This wedding proves differently! Shannon and her mom made all the cactus and succulent centerpieces themselves! I thought they had been done by a professional calligrapher! They incorporated custom craft cocktails by Jucy Bartending Services, and unbelievable blooms by Above The Stem Floral Studio, really up-leveled the look and feel of the day!

Right before father/daughter dance, Shannon’s dad came to find her and said “I think you owe me a dance, I’ve been waiting for this my whole life.”

She also shared a dance with her mom and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Including Mrs. Vondy who also danced with her mother at our wedding! Wedding traditions can always be made into your own and don’t have to look traditional. Do what suits you!
